A Mexico Spring Break is Fun and Affordable Mexico Vacation

The temperatures are starting to rise. The birds are chirping and the animals are bustling in the grasses with their young. The initial buds are popping out on branches and patches of green are beginning to appear on the lawn. There is only one conclusion – spring is here. And for many, the warmer weather means losing that winter coat and hot sweaters for shorts and tank tops on a Mexico spring break trip.

Obviously, finances are tight for a lot of Americans these days, but there is good news – the Mexican peso has historically been weak against the U.S. dollar and that trend has increased of late. Spring break in Cancun is no longer the no-holds-barred hedonist festival it once was, as the community has rebuilt following hurricanes and focusing on the average tourist, but over 35,000 students still descend on the community for five weeks each spring.

For a more civilized yet still enjoyable spring break, Cozumel, just east of the Yucatan in the Caribbean, offers a more {family-oriented adventure|family friendly excursion|touristy trip, but plenty of cheerfully boisterous nightlife.

Mazatlan is the west coast spring break capital. Mazatlan equals Cancun for extreme indulgence and party-all-night crowds. Cheap taxis are always close by to take you from large thumping dance clubs to more laid-back outdoor cafes.

Although Puerto Vallarta has plenty of late parties and wild dance clubs, the resort town is trying to lure in a more mature, affluent crowd.

Regarding the Mexican drug violence – Mexico’s popular resort areas get some crime, obviously, but officials in the these areas have installed numerous surveillance cameras all over the areas and ramped up measures and increased staff. Generally, people travel Mexico just like they do the U.S. – comfortably, but with logical precautions. Mexican resort towns are just like most American cities, and the U.S. State Department states that Mexican tourist areas do not see the drug violence and crime common to the border areas and large drug trafficking routes.
