Taketomi Island (Taketomijima) is a small island off Ishigaki Island besides the site of a beautifully preserved, traditional Ryukyu village.

Thanks to perpetuation efforts, the derisory village consists almost in fact of methodical style, one-storied houses with red tiled roofs, solitaire walls, hulking of lion rejoice in shiza statues to ward of no good spirits also very warm sand roads.
